The Genetics Society Training Grant

Purpose:  to support attendance at short training courses.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to enable members to go on short training courses
in the area of Genetics research. Eligible expenses include travel, accommodation,
subsistence and tuition fees.

How to apply: There are two closing dates of 1st March and 1st September each year.  
Applications should be made using the GS Funding Application Form and should be emailed to
christine.crees@genetics.org.uk using message subject ‘Training Grant’ and the applicant’s
surname. Applications from PhD students should be accompanied by a very short supporting
e-mail from their supervisor.  

Closing date: Awards will be announced within two months of the closing date. A maximum
of one Training Grant per individual per three years will be awarded.
